| Club recycling |
| Unfortunately the council does not provide recycling facilities for our club. Nigel reckons that 75% of our landfill waste could be recycled.
The bottles and cans from the bar are a big problem. Gillian has offered to take them home for recycling in her bins. Are any of you able to help? Just come armed with a plastic bag or take one from the supply in the kitchen and take some empties or paper away. If you see a bag of recycling by the door please help and take it away and recycle its contents.
We no longer use those throw away plastic beakers which went to the landfill. Now we use the club's cups and saucers which are washed, along with the glasses, in the dishwasher. Please stack your used cups and glasses in the dishwasher, glasses on top and crockery below. If it is full please switch it on. There are tablets in the cupboard on the dishwasher's left. Take the wrapping off first! If the dishwasher's contents are clean then please empty it. Glasses on a tray and crockery on the shelves in the kitchen. Training will be given to any members prepared to help. The more volunteers we get for the jobs that are done behind the scenes the better. |
