The Club meets every Wednesday evening “virtually” online to play duplicate bridge using RealBridge. Additionally, between October and February we play a second weekly session on the second and fourth Monday of each of the five months. We also meet four times a year socially for a meal followed by some fun face-to-face bridge.
The bi-weekly duplicate sessions start at 6:45 for 7:00pm and we normally finish around 9:15pm. The duplicate bridge results are available immediately via RealBridge at the end of the session and are also published here on our website.
The emphasis is on social bridge and the varying standard of play reflects that. A friendly welcome is always extended to all new players wishing to join us. Now that we play online you do not need to be physically local to Woodstock to join us, you just need a computer or tablet and reliable internet access.
Annual Membership is £5.00, effective from 1st September.
Members may opt to make an additional single payments of £25 to cover all the Wedesday sessions and £5 for all "Winter Mondays"; alternatively they may pay a table fee of £1 per session played. Guests pay a table fee of £2 per session.
If you would like to join us as a guest, please contact a member of the committee in the first instance. If this would be your first time playing bridge using RealBridge, be assured that it is both simple and socially satisfying, but it is advisable first to visit their website (https://realbridge.online/) where you will find guides and can book a taster session with them; you can also test your audio and video there.
Prospective new members without a partner should contact one of the committee to check if a partner might be available.
