General Information

Generally we have between 8 and 13 tables with an average of 10 per night.

All standards of player are welcome - we have a reputation for looking after beginners.

During the course of the year the normal format is duplicate pairs.  In addition there are four special competitions for which we have trophies, one in each season of the year.

In January the Taylor Trophy is competed for on a handicap basis.

The Spring, Summer and Autumn Trophies are all competed for on straight best result basis.

These trophies can only be won by Club members, but visitors are always welcome to play in these events.

On the third playing Monday of each month we have a handicap competition for which there is usually a modest prize.

Once or twice during the year the Club enters the Simultaneous Pairs competitions run by E-Cats.

The Club is a member of the EBU and participates in the Pay to Play scheme.  Master Points are therefore recorded regularly with the EBU and individual members can access their own details through the EBU website.
