Members who play regularly are very important to the Club.
You will get better if you increase the number of times you play!
Come along on another night, you will be most welcome.
'Seven days without Bridge makes one weak!'
The real test of a bridge player isn't in keeping out of trouble, but in escaping once in.
One advantage with bad bidding is that you get practice at playing bad contracts.
It is not the handling of difficult hands that makes the winning player. There aren't enough of them. It is the ability to avoid messing up the easy ones.
Bridge players exist mainly to make life difficult for each other.
A great night with 13 tables well done Janice and Russell.
Stella and Mike N/S, Ina and Pat E/W well done.
Well done Hilary! Nine table Individual competition 'smoothly run' (eventually).

Now run by the Windermere Bridge Club. Although everyone is welcome this is primarily an evening for improvers. There will be dedicated boards and full use will be made of the bridge mates and hand records. The session will be held in the Committee Room of the Marchesi Centre, Windermere every Monday evening. 7.00pm to 10.00pm playing at least 16 boards. Arrival by 6.45pm would be appreciated to allow time to set up and set the movement. Each session will be run by a non-playing Director who will act as 'stand-in' if required. Cost £3.00.
