Westmorland Seminar 2

Westmorland's Second Bridge Seminar was another success with over forty attending.  Many thanks to David Strawbridge, who gave us all something to think about.

All profits from the session (£178) will be given to David's chosen charity, 'Compassion in World Farming' (CIWF).

Bridge learning and Improvement
Bridge learning and Improvement

Bridge players, and potential bridge players, are given many opportunities to learn and improve.  The Monday bridge group is a friendly improvers session with a non playing Director available to 'stand in' if necessary.  A short reminder is given at the start of the session and usually 18 boards are played.  Tuesday night at Kendal is learners and improvers night with beginner and improver groups held in the Abbot Hall.  Wednesday night at Windermere is for 'club' players to further develop and practise their skills.  Friday night at Windermere is a popular competitive evening that offers an excellent opportunity for members to move their bridge on to the next stage in a friendly environment.

Rest in Peace

Members will be sad to know that Doris Hudson passed away on Saturday 7th October.  A very astute lady and friend to all.  Our thoughts go out to her family and friends.
