Due to a number of cancellations, we will be running just one league of 16 pairs. Each round you will play 5 matches of 5 boards each. In many ways this is a more attractive format, as each board will be played 8 times, allowing the scoring to smooth out.

Spring League allocations as follows:

                     Division 1
Niall Igoe & Alexandra Birchall
Marietta Andree & Janet Cahm
Lars McBride & Ida Brindley
Henryk Klocek & Simon Prager
Adrian Ring & Paul Chapman
Maciej Pilecki & Roger Pratt
Joan & Geoffrey Peel
Mike Skelly & Rob Simpson
Naomi Cohen & Timothy Pelling
Easter David & Naseer Dashti
Calum Stewart & Graham Cunningham
Andrew Cull & Margaret Nicholls
Linda Wilson & Diana Withers Green
Jennie George & Bhuma Rangarajan
Richard Randolph & Cherry Kingman
Martin Baker & Andrew Bannock

For those of you who haven't played before, the PL is a competition that is run over 3 sessions (one Wednesday evening per month), with each pair playing 5 matches of 5 boards each session. So it has a flavour of Swiss Pairs. Over the 3 sessions each pair will have played 15 matches and so played each of their opponents in their league once. Scoring is by match points converted to VPs.

Substitute players are allowed (and encouraged) for situations where the main pair can't play on all the dates.
