Diana Guerrini died on Saturday 9th May from lung cancer. She learnt bridge in her 40s and was a regular at WBC on Monday night and very rarely missed a week.  She was proud to have been on the committee and to have only recently resigned as a trustee.

Diana was Secretary of the club for over 5 years and had two spells on the committee. From 2014 until last year she was one of the Club’s two Trustees. She also helped the club raise many thousands for charity, by selling raffle tickets, and chasing donors for prizes.

Diana also went the extra mile by not only suggesting things, but also volunteering to carry them out herself. She was very approachable, welcoming and charming to everyone she came into contact with.

She played at the club every Monday night for the past 20 years or so with her partner Joy Prior. When Joy broke her hip last year, Diana went to see her regularly and made sure she had everything she wanted. Diana was a very much loved and highly regarded member of the club, and the club sends their condolences to her daughter Harriet who is also a member of the club, and the rest of her family.
