Building work

The car park will be open for use all week on week commencing 8 July. The scaffoling will be up and the builders using the single parking space.

We will update you of the parking situation next weekend but do not anticipate any further closures.

The Club
The Club

Founded in 1936 and with its own premises, Wigan Bridge Club lies on the outskirts of the Town Centre, with an enviable position overlooking the beautiful Mesnes Park.

The club has one major playing room upstairs which can comfortably accommodate 12 tables and 2 playing rooms downstairs holding 6 and 4 tables.

When the club is open, it is also available for rubber bridge, private matches or private sessions.

There is a well stocked bar, with a friendly stewardess on hand, ready to serve you alcohol, tea, coffee and soft drinks with a welcoming smile.

By road the club is easily accessible via 2 major routes, the A49 and A577. Both of which link to the M6, M61 and M58 motorways.

There are two train stations and a central bus station, which are all within walking distance of the club.

New No Fear/Assisted play session

These are a daytime version of the Wednesday evening session (see below) that we currently run. Plus see news page link for more details.



EVERY WEDNESDAY. Starts 7.15pm until approx 10pm

Everybody including non-members is welcome to attend these sessions and we currently allow an unlimited number of attendance to these session for any non members

Starting with a useful bridge tip, the play then follows a normal club duplicate session complete with a hand record and commentary on a select number of deals

Help is always on hand if you need assistance with any bridge matter during the play

Don't worry if you are coming alone as a partner will always be found
