Whickham Bridge Club was established in September 1996, and originally met at Whickham Comprehensive School. Recently, however, it was decided to move to the Social Club premises at Sunniside. Notwithstanding the change of venue, the founder title of Whickham Bridge Club has been retained.

The Club's financial year ends on 31st August each year, with the annual general meeting being held shortly thereafter. Annual subscriptions are fixed at the AGM, and are payable following that meeting.

Public liability insurance cover has been arranged with Fidentia insurance brokers. Full details provided under the policy can be made available upon request.
