WBU Funding Iniative

All club secretaries should have received details of a new WBU iniative designed to help clubs with limited finance fund new projects. Matched funding up to 5k available. Closing date for applications only a few short months away so action needed now. Any problems contact Gareth   (atogareth@gmail.com ).

PERRY, SPICKETT, PRESIDENT'S CUP

Following two days of enjoyable and friendly bridge in Tumble at the weekend the East took a clean sweep of the Trophies and we congratualte all their teams on their fine performances.

The WWBA thanks all members of our three teams for representing our Area ably and with good humour.  Our Perry team was placed 2nd, the Spickett 3rd and the President's Cup 2nd.  Full results on this page,

'DRAGON' NIGHTS AT SWANSEA

Looking for something to do on Saturday evenings?

Swansea Bridge Club now holds a 'Dragon' night on the 1st Saturday of the month at 7p.m. All are welcome - £4 with prizes.

The Perry Cup is a National Open inter-area teams competition.

The Spickett Bowl is a National Ladies' inter-area teams competition.

The President's Cup is a National inter-area teams competition held for the first time in 2011.

2012 Winning Teams Perry Spickett and President's Cup

This year the Perry Shield Spickett Bowl and President's Cup were hosted by the west and held at the Seabank Hotel in Porthcawl.

It was a really successful weekend for the west, winning  all three trophies.
