I am running 2 more bridge week-ends in Eastbourne this year as follows:

• October 9-12, 2009
• November 6-9, 2009.

The emphasis is on competitive but friendly play. Cost is £ 165 for 3 nights dinner, bed and breakfast including £ 30 bridge deposit.

The hotel is on the seafront near the pier with the town centre just 5 minutes walk away. Many surrounding tourist attractions include Beachy Head.

UPDATE - MAY 17TH - 107 STUDENTS ENROLLED FOR SUMMER TERM - 22 ON 2 BEGINNERS COURSES, 55 ON 4 IMPROVERS AND 30 ON 2 SUPERVISED PLAY GROUPS

We are running the same 8 classes during the Summer term as were run in the Spring term. The detailed schedule for the Beginners and Improvers classes appears under the relevant section under "Information". Class times will be as follows: 

Beginners

• Brentham - Monday afternoon (2.30 - 4.30)
• Chiswick - Tuesday morning (10.00 - noon) 

Improvers

• Brentham - Monday evening (7.30 - 9.30) 
• Chiswick - Tuesday afternoon (2.30 - 4.30) 
• Thisleworth - Wednesday afternoon (2.30 - 4.30) 
• Brentham - Friday morning (10.00 - noon)  

Supervised Play

• Chiswick - Tuesday evening (7.30 - 10.00) 
• Brentham - Wednesday morning (10.00 - 12.30)  

Experienced club players would be more suited to one of the many established bridge clubs in West London.

Chris Bonser has played duplicate bridge at the Brentham Club in Ealing for ten years where his regular partner is his wife, Rebecca. Chris is a firm believer that, whatever your standard of play, bridge is first and foremost a game to be enjoyed and he and his wife like an evening of social bridge with friends and a bottle of wine just as much as the club duplicate events.

Chris aims to bring this philosophy into his bridge teaching where classes are taught professionally (following the syllabus devised by the EBU) but in a relaxed and informal manner.
