Minutes of Commttee Meeting held on Monday 11th November 2013

Present: Tim Anderson (chair), Shiona Dawson, Ian Dovey, Clive Goode, David Hazeldine, Val Savidge

1. Teams of 8

With 3 teams in the Nottinghamshire teams of 8, it is sometimes proving difficult to find enough members to play in the matches. These games provide an opportunity to play new opponents in a competitive but friendly atmosphere at a variety of levels. Thanks are due to the captains who work hard to organise the matches. Anyone interested in playing for one on the teams please contact Shiona.

2. Web Site

The new web site is up and running using the BridgeWebs software. It only has the basic facilities at the moment but more detail will be added as time permits. If you have any queries or comments please contact Tim.

3. Matches in Members Homes

From time to time some of the matches are played in member's homes. In these situations team members will not be required to pay table fees. As ever, the club will reimburse the host member for refreshments.

Table fees will still be charged at Bradmore to cover the cost of the room hire.

4. Christmas Party

The Christmas Party will be held on Monday 16th December – all are welcome. The format will be duplicate bridge, followed by festive food (Val to provide) and drink (Shiona) and quiz (Ian).

The next meeting is Monday 13th January.
