| Introducing Ourselves |
 Welcome to our web site. We are a small,friendly club meeting every Monday throughout the year, except for Bank Holidays. We ask members to be at the club by 7 pm so that we can start promptly at 7.15 pm.The original club was formed in 1951 as the Bridge Section of the ICI Recreation Club, but we changed our name to Shire Park Bridge Club in 1996 after ICI had moved from Welwyn Garden City. With the closure of The Recreation Club we have now moved to Welwyn Sports & Social Club, Ottway Walk, Welwyn and have changed our name to reflect our new home.
We play competitions throughout the year. The Summer Cup runs from May to August and the Dobson Cup, Championship Pairs and Teams competitions from September to April. Visitors and new members are welcome.

In order to better reflect the new venue, the web site has now been renamed to
www.bridgewebs.com/welwynsportsandsocial
If you have a Favourite or Bookmark for the web site, you will need to update these.
Also, scorers should in Web Page Preferences update the login code to welwynsportsandsocial.
The home page of shirepark will be automatically redirected for a few weeks.

We have now moved to the Welwyn Sports & Social Club, Ottway Walk, Welwyn following the decision to close Shire Park Recreation Club. We have not otherwise changed. We are still as welcoming as ever.
