What is duplicate bridge?
Duplicate bridge involves:
- Sets of hands passing round the room so everyone plays the same cards during the evening.
- Half of the pairs (those sitting “East/West”) move in the opposite direction to the cards, so each E/W pair plays each N/S pair.
- The scoring is the same as in Chicago bridge – but don’t worry, all will be explained!
If you haven’t played duplicate before, we recommend that you sit E/W as N/S pairs are responsible for scoring.
