| Charity Evening October 2016 |
On Thursday, 20 October 2016 the Warminster Bridge Club held its annual Charity event and raised a magnificent £236, which will be shared equally between the Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Warminster Hospital. The winners this year were Roger Andrews and Alan Gristwood who take home the trophy - an impressive mounted Gurkha Kukri. Our picture shows Jenny and Mike Roe who first presented the trophy to the Club in 2001 and it has been competed for annually ever since. Jenny and Mike now live in Devon but returned to the Club to take part in the event this year.

| TIP OF THE WEEK |
This is the third of our tips when considering DECLARER PLAY.
Declarer Play 3. Deliberately not winning a trick is called DUCKING and often plays a major role in No Trump play. If opponents lead a card in which you have only one certain stopper you have a decision to make as to when you should use the card. By delaying you can exhaust one opponent of all the cards in the danger suit. You should try to save your Ace to win the trick on that of opponent’s last card of the suit.
