 Monthly Handicap Competition |
The monthly handicap competition awards prizes to the 2 players with the best 2 handicapped results during each calendar month. Results of match pointed pairs events on both Mondays and Thursdays count towards the competition.
Handicaps are calculated at the beginning of each club year (1st June to 31st May) using the average scores over the preceding year and are posted on the club notice board. The handicap of each player winning a monthly prize is increased by 5% for the remainder of the year. Manual handicaps may be allocated at the organiser's discretion for players joining during the year.
In each event the handicap allocated to a partnership is the average of the partners' individual handicaps. Results on the club website include handicapped results as well as actual results and the leaders in each monthly competition can be found under the Competitions menu.
