If you come upon an issue that involves conduct or ethics and you wish to report it either confidentially or not, please click on this article to pull up a form for you to fill out and submit to Russ Pearly, our Club Recorder. This is an additional procedure set up to supplement the Zero Tolerance card to help maintain a friendly atmosphere at the bridge table.
Our club serves The Villages, Florida, an active adult (55+) community of approximately 155,000 residents, which is growing by over 3,300 homes annually. The Villages encompasses an area of 32 square miles (which is expanding rapidly), primarily in the northeast corner of Sumter County although small parts also lie in Marion and Lake Counties.
Community Development Districts provide recreation services including the regional recreation centers in which The Villages DBC games are held. Regional rec center card rooms hold 28 tables. Our club competes with many other activities that also use the rooms for other games and activities. Currently we have games at 7 different regional recreational centers within The Villages. Our club is an invitational club since the CDD limits participation to Villages residents, although guests may play on a space available basis with a guest pass.
Our club is governed by an elected board of nine board members.
We have 22 games per week directed by 18 certified ACBL Directors. Currently, we are the 2nd largest club in North America.
