  OBJECTIVES

Objectives of the Vajira Bridge Center [VBC] are:

a) To preserve and promote the best interests of and to stimulate interest in the art of playing competitive Duplicate Contract Bridge.  

b) To encourage the highest standard of member conduct and ethics and to enforce such standards in accordance of the guidelines, rules and regulations of the BFSL.

The Center is affiliated to the Bridge Federation of Sri Lanka for the purpose of registering the master points and for recognition only.

The Center does not require any financial assistance or any training.

The Center is fully capable of conducting any bridge tournament including international tournaments and imparting expert knowledge to the participants.

The Center is dedicated to teaching the game of bridge; there are lessons for first-time players, as well as for those at the elementary and intermediate levels.

Running of the Center is made possible by the voluntary contributions, donations, providing free playing area & free Director services and sponsorship, by the players.

  Membership

There is no membership or membership fee. Anyone who is interested in playing bridge is welcome here.

  FEES

All payments are voluntary.

Players voluntarily contribute towards playing in the tournaments to cover the cost of refreshments, electricity, cleaning services and for replacing playing cards, printer cartridges & paper, web hosting payment for the assistant etc.

Players who are unable to contribute, are still welcome to play in the tournaments free, inclusive of refreshments.
