Directing fees for the Mentoring games held last November will be paid to Tom Olsson (2 sessions) and Nancy Wilson. Kate moved to pay the fees ($80 per session), Denise seconded. Approved.
Unit Holiday Party: Sally Meixner will be reimbursed for the expenses she incurred for this event.
Holiday Sectional: Chair Linda Johnson needs help with food donations and clean up after each game.
Bridge Pads: The board discussed repairing the bridge pads which are currently not working properly vs. replacing all bridge pads with Bridgemates. We will discuss with the Corporation to see if they are willing to contribute to purchasing Bridgemates.
Pianola: Pianola (program used to send mass emails announcing upcoming tournaments) has previously been provided free of charge by ACBL but going forward there will be a fee. The board decided to discontinue use of Pianola.
Spring Festival: Dates have been changed to April 29-May 3, 2020. Chairpersons are needed.
NLM Regional: Kristin will provide an update when she returns.
Sectional Games: The suggestion box yielded numerous ideas for potentially increasing attendance and/or managing cost for the Unit’s sectional games. Possible revisions to future sectionals include eliminating the Thursday night game; having someone actively arrange teams for Swiss teams/8 is Enough; changing the Friday start times to 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm to accommodate out of town and local players who work. Additional suggestions are welcome.
Norma moved to adjourn, Irene seconded. Next meeting is February 24.
