Peninsula Bridge Center
Peninsula Bridge Center

Recently, the Peninsula Bridge Center was changed from being an entity under Unit 110 to a separate facility with its own charter, Board of Directors, and bylaws.

However all bridge players are welcome and encouraged to come and play.

The facility can be reserved and rented by other clubs or for other functions.

Building Fund Donations
Sue Lawrence, a resident of Poquoson and a member of Unit 110, and Joy Bonney, a resident of Virginia Beach and a member of Southside's Unit 146, were friends and partners who played regularly at the Peninsula Bridge Center and in our Regional and Sectional Tournaments in Williamsburg.  Both Sue and Joy attended many of our bridge classes and bridge games at the Center.  Ten years ago, Sue told me she was going to donate $25,000 to our building fund in her will.  She did so in 2015.  About the same time, Joy told me she listed our building fund as beneficiary on one of her CDs.  Joy passed away a few months ago, but true to her word, I deposited her $10,468 donation into the building fund today.  We miss your smiles, gentle demeanor, and competitive spirit.  Rest in peace ladies.
