The most direct way to give funds is by check payable to Tucson Charity Bridge Club Inc.—with "capital donation" in the memo line. A bank wire is possible, although a fee would be involved at both ends. For stock donations contact Ruth Houkom or Hurd Baruch for the number of the Club’s brokerage account with Wells Fargo Advisers, so that the stock can be transferred automatically between your broker and the Club’s. You can also have .5% of your purchases on Amazon donated to us by going to: Amazon Smile
Leads and Signals
Taught by Barbara Sullenger
Three classes on Thursdays 9:30 to 11:15 at Streams in the Desert Lutheran Church: Oct 25, Nov 1, and Nov 8
$10.00 per class. No book. Barbara will provide handouts.
Good defense starts with the opening lead. Which of your 13 cards is right? In this class we will look at the suit and the card to lead: against no trump, suit contracts, low level bids, and slams. We will also work on signaling and interpreting partner’s signals in order to improve communication between partners.
Opening leads are often the reason contracts are made or defeated. That one card can convey much information to partner and set the strategy for the defense.
Using the form below, contact Kathy Parker for reservations.
