Welcome to Tryst Bridge Club

History

Welcome to the Tryst Bridge Club website. The Tryst was founded in 1958 and, having used various premises over the years, has been very comfortably installed in Falkirk INDOOR Bowling Club since 2009. Our bridge club attracts duplicate bridge players from Falkirk, Larbert, Denny, Stirling, Stenhousemuir, Airth, Bonnybridge, Grangemouth, Linlithgow, Polmont, England and Thailand.

BridgeScorer

We have now had a good few sessions over the last 8 months with the BridgeScorers. Reaction has been very favourable. Jeff Smith’s FREE scoring programs makes it all so easy, although I have not used the teams as yet. The table top units work well and any club can send a pair or table to evaluate for themselves. I can give a more detailed report for the benefit of other clubs who are thinking of going “ Wireless " if they get in touch.

All in all this has been a great buy, especially for the scorer. There is nothing better than results 1 minute after play and results & hands displayed on "Bridgewebs " before players are home with the printouts

The Tryst, without doubt the most popular club in the Falkirk District, is a very sociable club with players of all abilities making everyone feel very comfortable and welcome.

We are now using BridgeScorers, see article above. View a unit by clicking " Wireless Scoring " on the left.

We play with " Dealmaster Pro " hands so that the cards you have played are uploaded with the results. There are also printouts of the hands available at the end of the night.

Monday nights have about 10 Tables Tuesday nights about 5 Tables

The Tryst plays Mondays & Tuesdays 50 /52 weeks of the year depending when Xmas & New Year fall.

We now run 2 teams in the Falkirk & District League against some of the Local Clubs in the 1st and 2nd Division.
