| About the U3A Bridge Group Torrevieja |
The U3A Bridge Group Torrevieja is a group activity within the Torrevieja U3A.
We play weekly on the Tuesday morning from 9.30am till about 12.30pm
Because this group is a non profit one and therefore is run by volunteers who are there every week very early to set up the tables, prepare the board, activate the laptop with the Bridgemate program so you can start at 09:30 the latest it is appreciated if you would arrive 09:15 the latest.
This is primarily a social club and play, broadly, within the English Bridge Union (E.B.U.) guidelines and Laws though it is NOT affiliated to the E.B.U.
But the main item is to have a nice (social) morning and therefore we ask you:
- to greet others in a friendly manner prior to start of play on each round.
- to be a good “host” or “guest” at the table.
- to only speak English when you have cards in your hands
- to make this morning enjoyable for yourself, partner and opponents.
- to give credit when partner or opponents make a good bid or play.
- to ensure that your mobile phone is set on silent
- to enjoy the company as well as the game.

| Smoking |
It goes without saying that smoking inside is not allowed which is also applicable for vaping with the E-cigarettes because they have cartridges filled with a liquid that usually contains nicotine, flavorings, and chemicals.
Even when we play outside we do not want you to stay close to the tables where people are playing bridge because they likely would not appreciate that or maybe are allergic to it.

When: Every monday morning
Venue: The Cafetería in the Centro Civico
Address: Calle Santa Alodia, behind the Super Cor in Playa Flamenca
Time: Mondays 10am - 12 noon

The Social Bridge Group is there to link the Monday (Bridge Improvers) and the Tuesday (Bridge Advanced) groups.
The group is specifically for people who want to play Bridge socially or for those looking to gain confidence in their Bridge playing.
When: Every Thursday afternoon
Time: 2:00pm – 4.00pm
(Please arrive at least 10 mins before start time.)
Venue: La Casita, Dream Hills Urbanisation.
