Supported Play sessions are on every Monday morning from 9:30 till 11:30.  In these sessions players may ask for assistance either during the auction or during the play. If you know of any players who would like to join us for these more relaxed and non-competitive sessions please let them know.

Our 3 Charity Days in 2018 are Bridge for Brains held on Wednesday May 2 and our local charity on Monday July 2. Our local charity this year is the Yaccaba Centre in Nelson Bay.

Charity Day

Our local charity this year is The Yacaaba Centre.  We raised $500 which the club matched so the centre received $1,000 - an amount much needed by such a good local charity. THank you all for your donations.

President's Corner

It was wonderful to see President Kevin last week and everyone was very happy he was able to come up to the club to chat with members. He's now back in freezing cold Canberra staying with his daughter.

Our Encouragement Day was a huge success and reports are everyone had a great time. Experienced players were randomly paired with newer players and played a regular session. Congratulations to the new players who gained their first ever points. A huge thank you to the 25 experienced players who volunteered and reports are they enjoyed it as much as the new players. Another day will be scheduled for later in the day. The date announced in our program now clashes with the Regional GNOT finals so we will pick a different Sunday.

Congratulations to the 4 players who successfully competed  in the  Novice section of the Central Coast Restricted and Novice Pairs Congress. Rob Cornelius and Robyn Geale came 5th and Tom Fehily and Karen Sivyer came 8th out of 23. An excellent result!

Well done to the players who participated in the Statewide Pairs held at our club. The results from all around the state are almost all in and you can see where you are coming via the NSW bridge site.

Good luck to the players attending the large Coffs Harbour Congress this week.
