Learn Bridge at Richmond

Beginners need to cover 5   terms of lessons - 50 lessons split into 5 terms in total. Term 1 -3 are for those with no previous knowledge of bridge. Bidding and card play are the two main elements of bridge and the course cover the basics of both, providing a firm foundation on which to build bridge expertise

Year 1 covers 3 terms,  The term consists of ten two-hour lessons, taking place once a week. If you are interested in learning from scratch please Email the club and we will advise when we have enough people to start a new course.

Year 2 covers 2 further terms and you need to have covered the basics of Year 1 once completed , you are then about ready to try out our Supervised Play on Wednesday Evening or Play & Learn on Wednesday afternoon or our new Novice /Social evening - 2nd Thursday of the month.

All lessons are based on Bridge For All, the recommended teaching programme produced by the English Bridge Union, the national governing body for the game of bridge in this country. The cost of each course is £120.00 plus £25.00 for the text book which covers three terms .

We hope to start two new groups of Beginners on Monday and wednesday night in September po. Please register you rinterest by Emailing the club.

LEARN BRIDGE

The next course starts Wednesday March 5th at 10.30am . Learning involves 4 terms  The term consists of ten two-hour lessons, taking place once a week. If you are interested in learning from scratch please Email the club .  The lessons are based on Bridge For All, the recommended teaching programme produced by the English Bridge Union, the national governing body for the game of bridge in this country. The cost of each term  is £140.00 plus £25.00 for the text book which covers the first year. It is recomeneded that students go on and take two additional terms of Intermediate lessons. All our teachers are EBU qualified and will take you through at your own pace.. AFTER/DURING LESSONS

When you have completed learning or feel confident to try other things we have various sessions to suit you.

If you want to practise try our Supervised Play session  Friday at 10.00am

When you are ready we have novice  duplicate sessions on Tuesday morning at 10,00am and Thursday evening at 7.30pm. The latter includes a 10 minute mini lesson  at the start.

If and when you want to take the next step we have 3 Gentle Sessions Tuesday Evening at 7.30pm, Wednesday afternoon at 1.30pm and Friday morning at 10.00am.
