WE WELCOME PLAYERS AND STUDENTS FROM ALL AROUND SOUTH BUCKS, BERKSHIRE AND MIDDLESEX
Why is it that bridge gives such pleasure?
A hobby to sharpen your wit
While your social circle increases.
Might that be the reason for it?
Bridge will give you a new sense of purpose.
It will bring you a new group of friends.
I assure you that it's worth the trouble.
Its enhancement of life never ends.

PARKING ON OUR MONDAY SESSIONS
Unfortunately parking has become a problem at our Monday afternoon session at Chalfont Community Centre. We have therefore, again, rented the Scout Car Park which gives us plenty of extra space. This can be reached by going into the entrance (over the little bridge) and turning right towards the Tennis Club. The Scouts' building is the second building along and the gates to the car park will be open. PLEASE, IF YOU ARE FIT AND ABLE, USE THIS SPACE to allow others who visit the centre for other classes, to park their cars. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Very well done to Alan & Elenor McBride for winning the Student League's End of Term Event with a whopping 81%.
Alan and Elenor are new players who learned to play bridge on Mary's excellent Fast Track Course

Gentle (and fun!) Duplicate for beginners and the less experienced with Ann
Every Monday evening - 19:30 - 22:00
Sessions are being held at Chalfont St Peter Community Centre
Our next seminar is on Friday 24th August
Titch Glenday will be covering Declarer Play.
Titch started the Devon School of Bridge which she ran for 15 years and worked as a Teacher Trainer for the EBU for many years travelling all over the Country.
Titch we be working on two aspects of declarer play at this seminar:
- Setting up long suits. What do we need to establish long suits? Plenty of entries are essential. Unevenly split cards in the opponents’ hands are common. The threat of being trumped in a suit contract is always a possibility.
- Our second topic involves fast and slow losers. We need to find ‘parking places’ for our slow losers before our opponents have established them. Tempo is a very important part of the game. Come and enjoy some thought provoking hands at the seminar.
When: Friday 24th August Where: Chalfont St Peter Community Centre, Main Hall Time: 10:00 - 12:30pm approx
Cost: £12 per head including refreshments
To book: Contact Tessa@tessabridge.co.uk or telephone 07717 844410 with any questions
