Rules of Entry for Major Club Competitions
Boland Trophy/Kennedy Cup/O'Leary Trophy
Pairs - Rules of Entry
- Club Members only
- To be eligible for the first overall prize, a duly entered pair must play all sessions of the competition without a substitute
- In extenuating circumstances, a substitute may be permitted, so that, a duly entered pair retains eligibility for the first overall prize
Community Cup/Junior Cup/Templeogue College Cup
Teams - Rules of Entry
- Club Members only
- Enter as a Team of 4, 5 or 6
- A duly entered Team of 4 may have on substitute only
- If a duly entered Team of 4 has two substitutes for the second session, it forfeits its eligibility for any major prize.
- Duly entered Teams of 5 or 6 may have one or two substitutes
President's Prize
Pairs - Rules of Entry
- Open to Club Members who have played at least five times in the club on ordinary non-competition nights since 01 September of the current bridge year
- The five night rule shall not apply to the Trustees of the Templeogue Castle Community Bridge Centre and to the Honorary Members of the Club
- To be eligible for any major prize, a duly entered pair must play all sessions of the competition without a substitute
- If only one player of a duly entered paid is substituted, the pair forfeits its eligibility for any major prize other than a Session prize, if relevant.
