A message from our outgoing Chair , Susan Allen.
Firstly a big thank you to all our committee members and volunteers who help keep the Club running and thanks to you all for turning up each week , without your support we could not continue.
And so , you've eaten too many mince pies and chocolates , the New Year has been and gone , what's next ?
The Tally Ho Bridge Club AGM! On 17th JANUARY at 6.30PM (a half hour before play is due to commence)
Please come along and help elect a committee for 2019 , including a new Chair (I will be standing down due to my proposed move ) , plus discuss and agree a proposed updated constitution.
Nomination Forms for committee members and officer positions are available from Marian at our meetings and the proposed Constitution , supporting Rules and draft Agenda for the AGM are available by following the links on our website. Paper copies will also be available to read at Club nights. If you need a paper copy please let me know. I've highlighted the proposed changes to the Constitution for ease of understanding and intend explaining them at club nights over the next few weeks.
Please do not hesitate to contact me or Marian if you need any clarification regarding procedures at the AGM
Our last session before Christmas will be on 20th December when mince pies and nibbles will be provided. Nominations will need to be submitted by that date.
Please note there is no bridge on 27th December , we will meet again on 3rd January 2019 . In the meantime , it's Bridge as usual .
Are you an experienced Scorer? We need more scorers for the club to undertake the task once every 4-6 weeks. We don't expect scorers to enter the results the evening we play but do ask that you enter them asap the following day.
Would you like to learn? We can buddy you up with an experienced scorer until you feel confident enough to go it alone.
Please contact the Chair, Susan Allen, if you'd like to get involved.
We appreciate all the help we can get.
The Club meets at The Kingsland Church Hall,
London Road, Lexden, Colchester, CO3 9DW (above Aldi)
every Thursday evening.
Please arrive by 6.45pm - this enables the Director to plan the movement
(dependent on tables) for a 7pm start. We always finish by 10pm.
Refreshments are available throughout the evening so you may help yourselves.
If you want to arrive earlier, about 6.30pm for a cuppa and a chat before play begins, you are most welcome.
If you require a Bridge partner please contact our chair, Susan Allen
