New Bridge classes start in September 2024
Beginners - Learn to play Bridge in a fun, friendly environment. My name is Mike Baker and I will be running Beginners bridge classes on Tuesday evenings, commencing in September 2024. It will be a chance for new players to the game to build up basic bridge playing skills and for individuals who have played a bit of bridge to go over their bidding system. It will also be a chance to learn various card play techniques with the emphasis on playing hands, from session one. No previous experience of playing card games is necessary - just a willingness to try something new!
The sessions will run from 7pm to 9pm (or a little later), from the 24th September with a mid-session break (tea, coffee and biscuits will be included). The cost will be a total of £50 for 10 weeks tuition (full course length is 30 weeks). Sessions will take place at Lawn Community Centre, Guildford Ave, SN3 1JL. EBU accredited teaching, using EBU recommended materials.
Improvers – here is a chance for players to learn new bidding and explore ways to make more tricks, understanding in more depth the way the game is played. It would also be good for individuals who have played a bit of bridge to go over their bidding system with their partner. Sessions will run at the Lawn Community Centre on Mondays from the 23rd September 2024 (with the same 7-9pm duration). If you are interested, please email me at mikebaker753@gmail.com or telephone me on 07855 345866.
