This is my first blog but it is the funniest thing.

Last night we played a team of 8 match at Woodborough in the Institute , opposite the car park of the Four Bells.

One of our players rang me as they neared the club to check directions to the venue.  I told them where to park and said the entrance to the Institute was a bit hidden between some houses.   When they arrived they could not stop laughing.  They had gone through an open door on the street and walked into someone's front room!  A man sitting in there said,  "I thought you were my wife", which sent them into hoots of laughter.

I have never known a bridge match start with such hilarity and I suppose the tip is to allow plenty of time if you are thinking of visiting someone first!
