Suggested route to avoid road works and closure of the A39 between Red Brick Building/Bocabar along the Causeway to the roundabout by Oakland Nursery 26/27th October.

From Wells, at the Tin Bridge roundabout on the A39, instead of taking the Glastonbury bypass, take the first exit left and continue along Wells Road towards centre of Glastonbury.

At the junction with the High Street do not turn right but continue straight on (Chilkwell Street), to the roundabout with the A361, turn right here and pass the Somerset Rural Life Museum.

Continue and take third turning on left at Fishers Hill, signposted to Butleigh on the Butleigh Road.

Continue on Butleigh Road, which becomes Cow Bridge Road, and take next right onto Strode Drove.

This will take you back into Street past Strode College where you can rejoin normal road to the Bridge Club at the mini roundabout by the National Tyre garage and Street Inn, (junction of Glastonbury Road, High Street, and the B3151 Somerton Road).

Take opposite route of course to return.
