STREET BRIDGE CLUB
STREET BRIDGE CLUB

The club offers two sessions of Duplicate Bridge a week.

WEDNESDAY EVENINGS 7.0-10.0pm (Please be there by 6.50pm)

You need to come with a partner for most Wednesdays

However, on the 4th Wednesday of each month (Host Night) we will provide a partner, so you can come along as a single.

When there is a 5th Wednesday in the month we play a team of 4 event. You need to be a member of a team to play.

THURSDAY AFTERNOONS 1.30-4.30 pm (Please be there by 1.25pm)

We play duplicate bridge with occasional short training sessions.

Less experienced players wanting to improve their game are very welcome to join us

There is always a spare partner available and experienced bridge club players present to give advice.

The club meets in the Victoria Sports and Social Club, refreshments are provided and there is also a licensed bar on site. Ample parking is provided.

"The object of the club shall be to promote a friendly and social environment for the playing of contract bridge on a regular basis" (Club Constitution)

Visitors are very welcome to all sessions

We are not affilliated to the EBU and Master Points are not awarded other than at EBU organised simsultaneous pairs.

Did you hear this?

Bridge is a great comfort in your old age. It also helps you get there faster.

Since the average person's small supply of politeness must last him all his life, he can't afford to waste it on bridge partners.

If you play bridge with your wife as partner, you need  at least 20 points to open, and it wouldn't hurt to have 25.

Learn from the mistakes of others.  You won't live long enough to make them all yourself

I think we're all a little masochistic.  Otherwise, why  would we continue to play bridge?

We had a partnership misunderstanding.  My partner assumed I knew what I was doing.
