Welcome to Stoke Poges

Welcome to the Stoke Poges Bridge Club website.  We are located in the heart of the village playing in the main hall of St Andrew's Church, Rogers Lane.

The club opened in January 2008 and welcomes players of all standards.  We are very friendly and have attracted players from the village and from further afield.  Playing on Monday afternoons from 1.30pm - 5pm, we complement other clubs in the South Bucks area operating on alternative weekdays.

St Andrew's has ample on site parking with bus stops close by for those using the local network.

We welcome players to come and give us a try.  We will always organise a partner for visitors so do not be afraid to turn up on your own.  Your first visit is completely free.  We stop for a short break half way through the afternoon to recharge our batteries with light refreshments.

IMP0RTANT CHANGES

The committee has heeded members' comments at the recent AGM and has accordingly made the following changes.

The annual membership fee - £5.

The weekly table money will be reduced to £3 with immediate effect.

Visitors' fees will remain at £5 - to include a free initial session.

Charity donations will be reduced to just two a year - at the end of March and again at the end of September.

Wine prizes and the free Anniversary lunch will remain as before.

The above will be reviewed in a year's time.

START TIME - IMPORTANT

Could members please arrive by 1.20pm in order that bridge can start promptly at 1.30pm.  This will give us time to sort partnerships for the afternoon (when players come on their own) and make announcements.  This should facilitate the completion of the movement without causing difficulty for others.  Thank you for your cooperation.
