CHRISTMAS PARTY 19th December 5.45pm
There will be a glass of wine on arrival and a full buffet meal.
Afterwards there will be bridge and a raffle.
Table money will be £4 which will all go to our chosen charity which this year is, St. Michaels Hospice.
There will be an introduction TEAMS event on Wednesday 2nd December, starting at 1.30 pm.
If members support this event then the first Wednesday afternoon each month will be TEAMS.
This first session will be an introduction to teams with a short lesson on how teams work.
Come with a partner or a team of 4. There will be a host pair.
In an effort to retain the popularity of Wednesday afternoon Bridge we have decided to extend the subsidised play period for a while and only charge £2 table money on that day only.
Thank you to those of you who have agreed to be part of our Host pool. If you need a partner phone Elaine Ford and she will endeavour to fix you up with a partner. We will of course endeavour to provide a Host on all sessions. Hosting will work best if we have more people in the pool and will not affect partnership agreements you have in place. If anybody is willing to be a Host please let Elaine or any member of the committee know.
If you have any suggestions please put them in writing, the suggestions book is in the store cupboard. Ask the director for it. Alternatively speak to a committee member face to face, by phone or email.
The issue will be raised at the next committee meeting.
Some members have complained that they are not getting information from the EBU.
If you want the information the EBU need your email address. Please make sure it is up to date on your member’s page. Alternatively regularly look at the bulletins on the EBU website.
Andy Eames is starting beginner’s lessons in January. The cost will be £100 per term.
If you know of anyone who is interested in learning bridge please give Andy their name and phone number.
He will also be running some Improver’s lessons. See Andy if you are interested, he will let you have a list of topics. The cost will be £100 for 12 sessions.
Enjoy your Bridge
