Weekly Competitions

The Tournament Director may ask players to move to a section not of their choosing to facilitate the smooth running of competitions.  This may include playing in the Teaching Room.

Those who are latest into the hall may be the first to be asked to move but this is not necessarily always the case.  Players are requested to attend the Club early and when taking a seat in their selected section to do so in order.  In doing this it is easier to determine those who are last in.

There are many reasons players may be asked to move, some of which are as follows:

  1. To eliminate where possible, half tables
  2. To ensure there is a viable competition in another section.
  3. To arrange the best competitions in a group of sections.
  4. To ensure that the players are in a section which is more suitable for them.
  5. To maintain a free set of tables as an overflow.
  6. Other reasons may present from time to time.

Players to date have been very co-operative in this matter and continued co-operation is vital in the smooth running of Club Competitions.
