Last but Not Least Award Winner
Missing from the pictures of Award Winners was Win Anderson who not only was first in the Mini-McKinney and Ace of Clubs for Unit 103 but also was first in the Ace of Clubs for District 14 (5 state area) and ranked in the top 20 Nationally! Family commitments prevented her from attending the luncheon in St Paul. So here is Win with her award!

Award Winners
Unit 103 (St Paul and all of outstate Minnesota) held their awards luncheon today and handed out awards to the winners of Club play (Ace of Clubs) and overall points winners (Mini-Mckinney) for each of the categories. St Cloud was well represented at the luncheon with 21 members of the club making the trek down to St Paul. (Thank you Bridge Club of St Paul for graciously hosted the event again!). An email was sent out earlier in the year with the winners as well as those who finished second or third. We had many players who were acknowledged today for their second and third place finishes, but here were the winners announced today.
- Tara Krupke placed first in her category of 0-5 MP, in both the Ace of Clubs and Mini-McKinney races in our ACBL Unit 103.
- Win Anderson is first in her 20-50 MP category in both Unit 103 races, and also across all of ACBL District 14 (a five state area) for the Ace of Clubs!
- Charlie Maternus is also first in his 200-300 MP category in both Unit 103 races, and in all of District 14 for the Ace of Clubs!
- Mark Doucette won first in Unit 103’s Ace of Clubs race.
- Scott Krupke finished first in Unit 103’s Ace of Clubs and 2nd across all the District 14.

Chili Cookoff A Success!!!

On Wednesday night, the St Cloud Bridge Club combined their two favorite things, bridge and food, into a party that was a roaring success! There were 50 people trying to choose the best of the 12 chilis entered into the the Chili Cookoff. In a very close race, the winner selected was ...

Bill Schnettler!!!
with his own concoction of a white chicken chili. It was a tough competition with Darlene Nastrom and Kathy Stadther coming in second and third.

Kathy, Bill, and Darlene
And of course, there were lots of other food brought in as well including salads, chips, and desserts. Bill was gracious enough to share his Winning Chili Recipe.pdf. By popular demand, we are also including a link to the wonderful Chili CornbreadSalad.pdf from Rhonda Rossman.
And there was bridge played - 12 tables! The champs were Alex Warzecha and Win Anderson (the mastermind of this wonderful event) with no less than a 71% game!

The King of Clubs
Where is that Burger King Crown? We have a new boss in town. For the month of March, the top point winner in Minnesota was Scott Richardson! Scott did well enough often enough to earn more points than anyone else and becomes King of Clubs for the month. Scott scored an average of 57.80% over eleven club games to earn 21.41 points. No wonder Scott raced to that Gold Life Master. Bowing will not be required when Scott gets back to town.
