Children in Need Sim Pairs - November
Should you require a partener for either Monday or Wednesday afternoon please seek Sam`s assistance by phone, 07931702776, text or email.
It would be much appreciated if everyone could help in small ways at the start (getting scorecards etc out) and end of sessions (loading the dishwasher), don't leave the director to do everything!
If you would like to try your hand at scoring or directing please contact Terry Maltby or Michael Metcalf, more volunteers for these duties are always needed.
At all club sessions please arrive at least 15 minutes before play is due to start, 6:45 for 7 p.m. start, 7 for 7:15 start, 1:15 for 1:30 start. If you are running late please ring the club, 01785 246611, to let the scorer know you are on your way so that they can factor you in when setting up the movement and scoring systems.
A host system runs on Tuesday evenings whereby if you arrive at the club without a partner not later than 7 p.m. then the "stand by" for that evening will be called in to play with you.

A number of members sadly have health issues effecting their immune systems. Members are politely asked to refrain from playing at the club when suffering from infections. Super clean hands too at all times please to prevent any infection passing via the cards.
Please phone the class tutor, as show above, if you are interested in joining any of these classes.
CLASSES. Classes usually commence annually in September/October running through to May/June. The lessons take place at The Stafford Bridge Club located at the County Showground. Best to contact us, see telephone numbers below, for further information in the late summer although students may sometimes join the classes after the "term" has started.
TUITION. The classes are based on the EBU "Bridge For All" staged learning programme. Please telephone Robin Adey (01785 661059) improvers/intermediate group or Ann Sleightholme (01785 822233) beginners group to check availability. A group of at least 12 is best, so talk all your friends into taking the lessons…….. you’ll make more friends and have an enjoyable experience learning bridge! All ages welcome from students to pensioners!
Occasional sessions are held on a Friday morning with some of our experts giving advice on bidding and play. A list will be displayed on the notice board prior to these events for those interested to sign up. This is only open to club members.
