Teaching Bridge in Schools

Teaching bridge in schools in Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire is thriving.  However the programme needs volunteers to help expand the teaching. It is great fun to do and enables participants to give back something to their local community and also to the bridge community in general.  You dont have to be a qualified teacher, you dont have to be a bridge grand master and you dont have to commit to turn up once a week in term time.  In fact all you need to know is how to play bridge, be able to explain it to beginners and some patience!  You might consider teaching with a friend.

If this is of interest to you or you want to know more please contact Tony Aston (01753 885166) or email antonyaston@talk21.com

Andrew Robson Workshop

This event is SOLD OUT with a waiting list.  Could all those who have signed up please pay Sue in the Office to confirm your place.  Thank You.

Thursday 20 November  0945 - 1300 hrs
Andrew is returning to give us a bridge Masterclass entitled Elimination & Thrown-In.  This will include the classic two-way finesse by forcing an opponent to lead a suit, End Plays, Jacoby convention and Tricky Leads (what to lead when nothing seems obvious).   Andrew's masterclass is a workshop so you will be playing and discussing lots of hands.  Andrew has a wonderful delivery and his workshops are fun and aimed at average club players.
Price:  £15.00pp  Advance booking required to Sue in the Office.
Andrew will be bringing lots of his books to sell (and sign) which make excellent Christmas presents!
