Pairs Championship Congratulations to Sheila Crehan and Christine Devaney on winning a very closely contested Pairs Championship. defending champions Mervyn Whaley and John Gray were second with Christine and Tom O'Gorman were third. Sheila and Christine are pictured receiving their trophy from Club President Rosalind Clarke.
Player of the Year
Player of the Year Donal O'Boyle was once again winner of this year's Player of the Year. it was a close run competition with Brigid Healy very much in contention in the final night. The final result was: 1st Donal O'Boyle 129 points, 2nd: Brigid Healy 123 points and 3rd: Ann Moran 119 points.

We meet on Mondays in STACKALLEN TENNIS and PITCH and PUTT CLUB. We are be delighted to extend a warm welcome to visitors and prospective new members.

40th Anniversary Celebrations

Slane Bridge Club celebrated its 40th Anniversary this year and marked this wonderful occasion with dinner in the Conyngham Arms Hotel followed by a game of bridge on Monday, April 29th. Present and past members attended and a very enjoyable evening was spent reminiscing about old and not so old times. Use the link on the menu to see some photographs of the event.

SLANE CUP Congratulations to Helena Coen & Carmel Naughton on being worthy winners of this year's Slane Cup. Helena and Carmel are pictured receiving the trophy from club Captain Ann Moran. Runners-up were Joan Dunne and Brigid Healy with Eithne and Donal O'Boyle in third.

In second place was Eileen Hogan with Doreen Kimberley in third.
Jack & Jill Charity Night
The Jack & Jill Charity Night was a great success at our final club night this year in Stackallen Tennis and Pitch & Putt Club. 7½ tables competed for some lovely donated prizes with Ann Finegan & Vonie Macken winning top honours on the night. Most importantly it was a great night to chat and socialize. €330 was raised for a very worthy charity. The night was a lovely prelude to our great celebration next Monday in the Conyngham Arms Hotel where our great club, founded by the late Angela Breen, started back in 1973. We look forward to another great celebration on the 29th. Tickets can still be purchased (€30) from any committee member.
