See the tab to the left for a map of Canterbury.

You will probably arrive in Canterbury via the A2, which is the lower of the red roads on the left of the map; the hotel is on the red road to the right.
(St Georges Place runs into New Dover Road).

You can't drive through the centre of the city and should use the ring road.

The hotel has ample free car parking.

Please register your credit card with reception if you wish to charge anything to your room account.

Getting There

By Car:

Head east on the A2 and follow the signs until you get to Canterbury (A2, M2, A2, A2050, A290 and A28).

When you get onto the Canterbury ring road, look for the Dover signs.

At St George's Roundabout turn right onto the A257 (New Dover Road, signposted Sandwich, Dover).

The hotel is about 1/4 mile on the right.

Parking:

The hotel's car park has ample space for all of us.

By Train:

Trains from Bromley South to Canterbury East take about 1 hour 20 minutes; Orpington to Canterbury West take 1 hour 30 minutes.

In both cases you will need a taxi when you reach Canterbury.

Tourist Info

If you plan to visit the city centre you'll find it a 10-15 minute walk away.  Alternatively you could catch one of the regular buses that run from just outside the hotel.  But whatever you do, don't waste your time driving as you will never be able to park.

Once you're in the centre you have lots of shops and of course the cathedral and its grounds.  When we last visited there was an entrance fee, though I don't know whether it's mandatory: £9.50 (concessions £8.50).
