Welcome to Silhill Bridge Club

A friendly Bridge Club with both duplicate and rubber sessions held at St. Helen's Church Centre, St. Helen's Road, Solihull, B91 2DA.

The duplicate sessions are held on Monday and Thursday evenings starting at 7 p.m., promptly. We aim to have people seated at tables by 6:50 p.m. in order for the Tournament Director to be able to determine the movement to be used. We can normally supply a partner for visitors, through our host system, but, club members have priority, so it is advisable to contact us in advance, if you wish to turn up without a partner.

The rubber sessions are held on Wednesday afternoons between 13:30 & 17:00.

On the 1st, 3rd & 5th Wednesdays - Cut-in

2nd & 4th Wednesdays - Partnerships

Founded in 1948 Regardless of what sadistic impulses we may harbour, winning bridge means helping partner avoid mistakes.

Metson/Dutton & Binsted Cups

The Metson/Dutton and Binsted Cup competitions will be held on Monday 11th January 2010.

The Binsted Cup competition is for Ladies' pairs whilst the Metson/Dutton Cup competition is for Mens' pairs. Both competitions are based on handicaps applicable on the date.

Please enter your names on the notice displayed. If you haven't a partner for the day, still enter your name and we will try to team you up with somebody.

Silhill 'A' Team winning run ends

At the third time of asking the Silhill 'A' Team of Mike Padmore (Capt.) & Barry Hudson with Loretta Nolan & Phil Jones failed to deliver, losing by 59 imps to 74 imps (4 v 8 VP's) to a West Midlands Bridge Club team. This followed their 12 v 0 VP's victory in their first match and 10 v 2 VP's win in their second.

Brenholz Trophy & Parr Challenge Cup

Congratulations to Ivy Koral & Mike Padmore for winning the Brenholz Trophy with the best net score and to Loretta Nolan & John Adams for winning (and retaining) the Parr Challenge Cup with the best gross score on 16th November.
