Teams of 4 Championship (*) |
This is a two session event, run as a multiple teams event, on the first and third Thursday in March. Ideally the same four should play in each session, however up to 2 substitutes may be made in extenuating circustances and the team still eligible to win |

Individual Competition (*) |
This is a one session event in which players partner as many of the other players as possible during the evening. We hold this event on a Tuesday evening in October. Simple systems only.

On-going April until end of March
- Pairs can qualify on any evening - except Handicap and Teams but including Championship Pairs
- For 2015-16, players score 3 points for firstplace, 2 for 2nd and 1 for 3rd.
- From 2016-17 onwards this competition will be based on the best average score over the year.
- The winning pair at the end of the season, subject to a minimum of 10 scores, is the pair with the best average score (most points in 2015-16).
- If there is an exact tie, the team that has played the most matches will be the winner, or the trophy will be shared.

Morris Hall Trophy (*) |
| This is a one session pairs event, the winners receiving the beautiful crystal glass bowl presented to us to mark 30 years of Bridge at the Morris Hall. This event is played on a Thursday in April. |

Pairs Championship (*) |
This comprises two sessions. This event is held on alternate Thursdays in November.
In the case of illness or such unforseen circumstance a player may use a substitute in order to faclilitate the competition, but the players may not be eligible to to win |

Bearn Qualifying Events (*) |
County qualification for the Reg Corwen Trophy, a national pairs competition, is via the Bearn Trophy competition held in Stafford on 14th March 2010. County Clubs hold their own qualifying events for the Bearn. Choose your partner and whenever you play in a duplicate session your score will count towards qualification to play in the Final. Pairs must be ebu members. Make sure that your names are on the list on the notice board. |

Shropshire Teams of Four |
This event, which currently attracts around ten teams, is not a club event but takes place instead of Club Duplicate on the third Tuesday of the month between October and April .
Teams may have more than four members and substitutes are allowed to facilitate the event
It is the Captains' responsibiliy to field a full team.

| Simultaneous pairs events are run from time to time by BGB, EBU, Staffs/Shropshire and other organisations and the Club takes part in a number of these. |
