20/6 Handicap Teams Competition
Selsdon is a friendly club based at the Methodist Church in Sanderstead. We welcome guests so please feel free to come along - Your first visit is free!
If you would like to come but haven't a partner then you can simply turn up and be guaranteed a partner via the steward system, except on competition nights, please see our calendar for details.
We play Duplicate Bridge every Thursday evening, arriving at 7:20 for a 7:30 start in Sanderstead Methodist Church, Limpsfield Rd, CR2 9EF.
The Club uses the BridgeMates real time scoring system so that the current position is constantly updated onto a computer screen.
We always use duplimated boards with a copy of the hands available at the end of the session. For the technically minded, we play to EBU Blue Book Level 5. EBU Master Points are awarded for all events.
We have a range of expertise amongst our players and we encourage a friendly and respectful approach at the table for the enjoyment of all. Our average session has an NGS of 54.5%.

BRIDGE TRAINING SESSIONS ♠ ♥ ♦ ♣
To all members and visitors.
Selsdon are pleased to announce that we are introducing training sessions for players, which will be tailored according to playing level of those who attend.
These will be one hour sessions that will start an hour before the regular duplicate play and will be held on the second Thursday of each month.
Initially we have agreed May 9th and June 13th and according to level of interest the sessions will continue throughout 2019.
The first two will be opening leads and takeout doubles before moving on to other interesting topics including response to take out doubles, then splinter bids.
The sessions will be free for players staying for the duplicate, otherwise table money will be applicable. We plan to upload the content used to our website following sessions.
New sessions will be announced on the first Thursday of each month with email follow-up.
