We are a friendly club with a mix of intermediate and experienced players. Please use the information tab in menu on left for details of venue and session times.
Applications for membership are to be made, in person, at either of the playing sessions. Please approach the Secretary or a member of the Club Committee. Although our membership is currently at the maximum (96 members) you are most welcome to 'try us out' for up to six sessions as a guest player to get to know the members and we will place your application on our waiting list.

Comment 1 Please resist the temptation to do a 'goulash' deal when preparing the boards...it distorts the natural sequence of cards and is illegal. EBU law 6B requires cards to be dealt one card at a time.(John R. 22/03/17)
- Query: What is a 'goulash'deal? (Heather)
- Answer: Where the cards are dealt in groups e.g. 4-5-4 or 5-5-3, instead of singly. Goulash dealing is often used in rubber bridge, to create deals where the suits are more unevenly distributed between the players, thus creating "wild" deals in order to make the game more exciting....
Comment 2 Anybody keen to get their grandchildren (or great-grandchildren even!) interested in playing bridge could look at www.bridge4kids.co.uk recommended by Andrew Robson in The Times. There is also an introductory form of bridge - "minibridge" - which is great for children apparently. (Peter P. 29/03/17)
