Starting time

In order to start bridge on time players should be seated at the table 10 minutes before the advertised starting time.

This is Important in order for the directors to organise a movement and disribute the cards and bridge mates.

BRIDGE IS FUN

Rye Beach Bridge Club was formed in 2005 by Margaret and Brian Morgan with the aim of increasing the participation of Bridge players on the Southern end of the Mornington Peninsula.

Players of all standards are welcome, preferably with a sense of humour. It is important that players treat both their opponents and their partner with respect.

Duplicate sessions are held at Portsea ( Watson Pavilion) on Monday mornings and at Rye Community House on Thursday afternoons. In addition, a fun supervised session is held at Rye Community House on Thursday mornings.

Importantly, with the odd exception, a partner is not required.

MORNINGTON PENINSULA CONGRESS

The annual Mornington Peninsula Congress will be held at Frankston over the weekend of September 15 and 16.

Swiss Pairs will as usual take place on the Saturday. This year, as an experiment, we will be replacing the teams event with a match point knock out Pairs.

This is a popular event, so make sure you book early. Entries can be made on bridgeunlimited.com (go to 'useful links' on this page, then 'congress entries and results').
