In order to start bridge on time players should be seated at the table 10 minutes before the advertised starting time.
This is Important in order for the directors to organise a movement and disribute the cards and bridge mates.
The Gold Coast Bridge Congress takes place from 15-23 February, with many of our members participating.
As a result, there will be NO BRIDGE AT PORTSEA on Monday morning 18 February.
SUPERVISED BRIDGE on Thursday morning 21 February is also cancelled.
Thursday afternoon Bridge will continue as normal, with Geoff and Wendy Fletcher from the Peninsula Bridge Club in charge.
Back to normal sessions from 25 February
Rye Beach Bridge Club was formed in 2005 by Margaret and Brian Morgan with the aim of increasing the participation of Bridge players on the Southern end of the Mornington Peninsula.
Players of all standards are welcome, preferably with a sense of humour. It is important that players treat both their opponents and their partner with respect.
Duplicate sessions are held at Portsea ( Watson Pavilion) at 9.30 on Monday mornings and at Rosebud Memorial Hall on Thursday afternoons at 1.00. In addition, a fun supervised session is held at Rosebud Memorial Hall on Thursday mornings at 9.30
Importantly, with the odd exception, a partner is not required.
