The Rye Beach Bridge Club is now into its seventh year of operation.
Founded in November 2005 by Margaret and Brian Morgan, with the aim of increasing participation in bridge as well as improving the standard on the Southern Peninsula, the club continues to grow.
Brian and Margaret insist that the overriding principle is that bridge must be fun, and that players respect both their opponents AND their partner.
Duplicate sessions are held at the Rye Beach Community Centre on Monday evenings and Thursday afternoons. Another duplicate session is held at Watsons Pavilion, Percy Cerutty Oval, in Portsea on Monday mornings.
Supervised bridge is played on Thursday mornings - 10.30 at the Rye Beach Community Centre (commences 31 May)
A beginner's course is currently under way - another 8 week course is planned for later in the year.
Brian is also planning another series on Bridge for Improvers - the first session will be entitled - "Diamonds are NOT a girl's best friend" - more details shortly
Importantly, NO PARTNER IS REQUIRED at either centre- we always have a 'floater' available.
