Congratulations to the Daventry Dragons who led all season, and to runners up Rugby Discards RBC. Well done to Division 2 winners Dunchurch Diamonds RBC, and runners up Rugby Rabbits RBC..

The actual composition of the League next season will depend on the number of teams entering, so get those entry forms in promptly! Congratulations to all who played in good and friendly spirit, whatever their results.

You are East, and therefore have to make the opening lead.  What card do you choose?

What point count do you estimate partner has?

Against three no trumps you lead from the top of three touching honours, not two, so do not lead the K.  The next standard lead is the fourth highest of your longest and strongest suit, in this case 4.

Opponents have shown 25-30 HCP, and you are holding 9.  Your partner has maximum 6 points, so is likely to produce one or two honours at best!
