Minutes of Annual General Meeting

Held at Ex-Servicemen’s Club, Hillmorton on Monday 6^th July 2015 19:00

 Acceptance of Minutes of AGM held on 06 July 2014.

The minutes were accepted unanimously. No copy at the meeting, but they have been on the website.

2. Chairman’s report given By Debbie Welch

   Debbie made a brief report thanking Liz and Jane for all their hard work, she thanked all for making the fundraising event a success this year. Debbie confirmed she had spoken to P Shorey and that RBC would again be funding the registration fee for next seasons Rugby teams

    

3. Treasurer’s report given by Jane Carrington in Sid’s absence

Jane presented the accounts year ending 31/03/2015.  Because there was no fundraising event that year, the bank balance had decreased from £522.75 to £418.75. However the recent event has righted the situation and the bank balance is now back at £680.75. Anne Carrington was thanked for examining and approving the accounts. It was proposed by Wendy Pattinson and seconded by Anne Carrington that the accounts should be accepted. The accounts were duly accepted as a true and fair view of the League’s accounts.

1. Presentation of prizes

Richard Fountaine received the Division 1 shield on behalf of the Daventry Dragons

Anne Carrington received the cup for division 2 on behalf of the Clifton Clubs

Peter Baines received the cup for the knockout competition on behalf of the Daventry Donuts

Jane White received the cup for the handicap competition on behalf of the Daventry Donuts

1. Election of Officers, committee members and examiner

   Debbie Welch was nominated as Chairman proposed by Dave Owen and seconded by Jane Carrington

   Sid Downton was nominated as Treasurer proposed by Debbie Welch and seconded by Dave Owen

   Dave Owen was nominated as Fixtures Secretary proposed by Liz Edwards and seconded by Jane Carrington

   Peter Baines was nominated as secretary proposed by Debbie Welch and seconded by Linda Routhorn

   Roger Ward was nominated as committee member proposed by Debbie Welch and seconded by Sid Downton

   Liz Edwards to continue as Webmaster (non committee member)

    

2. Registration for the new season

   Registration of teams for the 2015/2016 season starts immediately – the registration form can be found on the website and closing date is 14^th August 2015

   Fixtures meeting – Date to be confirmed by Dave Owen – End of August/very early September was suggested by the chair.  As the fund raising event was financially and socially successful, that date will be considered at the first new committee meeting and team captains advised.

    

   Thank you to  those who attended this AGM. It was decided that there was not sufficient players to play bridge on this occasion
