Minutes of Committee Meeting held on 01st December 2014
at 66 Cromwell Road, Rugby

Treasurers report:
Sid confirmed the balance as £418.75.
Had paid £96 for new playing cards
Had renewed the annual subscription to Bridgewebs £48
Correspondence:

League Status:
Jane confirmed all was going well. Debbie raised the issue of agreeing dates with other captains after several dates had been offered and refused. The committee confirmed that rule 14 should come into effect if no date can be agreed.
New handicap system:
Roger presented the new handicap figures and the committee agreed the new handicap system for this season, as it had been voted for by the members at the last AGM. Note: Village Pioneers have a large handicap based on their results last year. If that handicap was applied to the matches they played last year, they played 10 matches and would have won 5 and lost 5.
End of season event:
Dependant upon availability at Clifton the End of Season event will be held on either Sat 25th April or Sat 2nd May 2015 suggested time 1:30 – 5:00. Coffee and cakes to be provided and 24 boards played.
Cost £4 per head. Jane will contact all team captains direct requesting them to enter a team of 4. Jane will also ask Graham Clarke if he is willing to act as tournament director during the afternoon. All committee members to also help drum up support and a raffle will be held.
AOB:
A report on the latest league status has been sent to RBC for their December bulletin. This included a paragraph looking for volunteers to join the committee for the next season to fill the roles of Chairman, Secretary and Fixtures Secretary.
Roger asked to see the paper result slips so that he can see the VP’s and will need to liaise with Jane about them.
The date of the next Annual General Meeting was agreed to be Monday 6th July 2015 at 7:00pm to be held at the Ex Serviceman’s club, Hillmorton. Room needs to be booked.
