Royal Mid Surrey

Royal Mid Surrey played at Pall Mall on the 25th February

The club where were represented by :-

Michael Bailey (Capt) & Yolande Glassman
Lester Periera & Max McGuire
Charito McIver & Geoff Hall
Louise Boyle & Lida Gentilli

This is the second meeting of a new fixture and following a win last year at RMS, the visitors came equipped with two seasoned partnerships that play regularly at Richmond. Equally impressive was the precaution of arriving with a reserve pair. The home team started well and where ahead at dinner, but bolstered by supper, the visitors found sufficient momentum in the second half to romp home by 6 imps.

RAC v Queens Club away

This year's contest was played in typically friendly fasion at Queen’s Club on 5th march. Queens entertained with great hospitality in lovely surroundings  and a very convivial evening was had by all.

The RAC were represented by:-

Dorette Doshan & Victoria Ansary
Roy Ham and Pauli Lauman
Paul and Sally Found
Robin Kilborn and Helge Wennike

Both RAC teams were leading at half time and being the perfect hosts Queens allowed the visitors to prevail by 110 imps.

The Cumberland

RAC captained by Terry Smith scored lead his team to a win against The Cumberland on Tuesday 27th May. Terry was partnered by his wife Barbara and 4 was augmented by Howard & Simone Wand. The second four of the team were Victoria Ansary and Dorette Birshan, together with John Kemball and Terry Davey. On this occasion the married contingent worked well, and the home team had established a bit of a cushion at half time of 21 imps. This was precisely doubled in the second half.
