Beginners and Intermediates
Bridge School - Beginners and Intermediates

Bridge Tuition is organised by the Pall Mall Bridge Circle Committee, and centres around courses for Bridge Beginners and Intermediates.

NB: all lessons have to be booked in advance, and courses are booked and charged for by the term.

Bridge tuition is provided by Mike Eden (Beginners) and Anne Catchpole (Intermediates) --  both bridge wizards!  Their objectives are to prepare players to participate in the main duplicate section in a friendly environment.Anne Catchpole

Beginners Tuition

We hold a weekend introductory course every year in September which is designed to give people who have never played bridge before an introduction to the game.

There will be another course for beginners starting in September 2024, this is held on Wednesday evenings from 19:00 to 21:00 and the charge is taken by the term.  The course is taught by our new wonderful teacher Mike Eden.

We follow a course designed by the English Bridge Union and students are expected to attend regularly and do homework. This finishes in July and students then move onto the Intermediate group.

Intermediate Tuition

Intermediate lessons are held on a Thursday evening along side the Duplicate.  Our teacher for this course is Anne Catchpole.

Anne has taught many of our players Bridge in the past and is always a firm favourite!

Students  are then given a Mentor to play with once a month in our Bridge Duplicate, this is very helpful for students in order to get used to playing on Duplicate Club nights.
